Method of sampling & reading results:
Step 1: Swab the nasopharyngeal fluid
Use the cotton swab in the test kit to swab the nasopharyngeal fluid. Place the cotton swab in one nostril until you feel the swab touching the back of the nose, then stop, rotate about 5 times for a few seconds and slowly remove the swab. The sample can be stored at room temperature for 1 hour or at a temperature of 2 - 8 degrees Celsius for 4 hours. However, the sample should be tested immediately for best results.
Step 2: Using the test tray
- Immerse the cotton swab containing the pleural fluid sample into the test tube, dip evenly at least 10 times.
- Squeeze the tube wall before pulling out the cotton swab.
- Attach the filter cap to the test tube. Drop 3 drops of fluid into the test tray
Step 3: Wait 15 minutes and read the results (Note: do not read the results after 20 minutes)
Note: Do not open the package until use and use immediately after opening. Do not use the test device if the foil pouch is damaged or the device is seriously damaged. Do not reuse the device.
