2. Instructions for use 3M 3100 gas mask and filter
2.1 HOW TO USE:- < li style="text-align: justify;">If the mask is damaged, leave the contaminated area immediately and have the mask repaired or replaced.
- Change the dust filter if you find it d ifficult to breathe. Note: for filters including dust filters, the entire filter must be replaced.
- Replace the filter if you feel any odor, taste or odor. Irritation from gases or organic vapors. P lease refer to the filter user manual for more information.
2.2 MAINTENANCE/CLEANING.
- Remove the filter and dust filter. If n ecessary, you can remove the head strap, inhalation and exhalation valves.
- Clean and sanitize the mask by soaking it in soapy water and wash gently. Do not use detergents containing oil for cleanin g. Note: the temperature of water used for cleaning must not exceed 49 degrees Celsius. Do not clean by machine. Do not use solvents for cleaning.
- If required, disinfect the mask with dilute hypoch lorite base solution or other deodorant.
- Rinse the mask with clean water and dry in a pollution-free environment.
- Do not wash or soak the filter and filter pla te in water or cleaning solution.
2.3 MAINTENANCE
Assemble the head unit. Mask packaged along with the head strap. Replacing the over-the-head strap :
Step 1: Remove the old strap from the plastic hook by pressing firmly on the button end of the plastic hook and pulling the strap out hook.
Step 2: Install the new wire through the 2 hook slots located on the side of the mask.
Step 3: Pull the wire through the button end of the plastic hook.
a. Exhalation valve:
Step 1: Remove the old valve by f irmly grasping the edge of the valve and pulling it out. Check the surface tightness of the valve hole on the mask for damage. If damaged, the mask must be replaced.
Step 2: Replace the new exhalatio n valve by pressing the valve into the mounting hole on the mask. Make sure the valve stem edge is securely attached.
b. Inhalation valve.
Step 1: Remove the old v alve by firmly grasping the edge of the valve and pulling it outward. Check the surface tightness of the valve hole on the mask for damage. If necessary, replace the mask with a new one.
Step 2: Repl ace the new exhalation valve by placing the new exhalation valve through the cylinder of the valve hole inside the mask.< /p>
